Ingredients

6 cups sliced peeled pears1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries1/2 cup sugar2 tablespoons all-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon ground ginger1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/8 teaspoon ground clovesTOPPING:1 cup all-purpose flour2/3 cup packed brown sugar1/2 cup old-fashioned oats1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup cold butter, cubedWhipped cream and fresh mint, optional

Preparation

Combine the first eight ingredients; mix well. Pour into a greased 9-in. square baking pan. For topping, combine flour, brown sugar, oats and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit. Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until pears are tender. Garnish with whipped cream and mint if desired.
