Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened3/4 cup sugar3/4 cup packed brown sugar2 eggs1/2 teaspoon almond extract2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour1/3 cup baking cocoa1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt1 package (10 to 12 ounces) white baking chips,divided
Preparation
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in extract. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Set aside 1/4 cup chips; stir remaining chips into batter.
Spread in a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Sprinkle with reserved chips. Bake at 375° for 18-23 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
