Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped2 tablespoons butter10 cups water6 cups chopped cabbage4 cups diced peeled potatoes3 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic4 cups cubed fully cooked ham

Preparation

In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, saute onion in butter until tender. Add the water, cabbage, potatoes, bouillon, pepper and garlic. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Stir in ham; heat through.
