Ingredients

2 cans (15 ounces each) garbanzo beans or chickpeas, rinsed and drained1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin1/2 cup olive oil1/3 cup tahini5 tablespoons lemon juice2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce2 garlic cloves, minced1 teaspoon saltBaked pita chipsAssorted fresh vegetables, optional

Preparation

Place the first 8 ingredients in a food processor; cover and process until blended. Serve with chips and, if desired, vegetables.
