Ingredients

1 cup packed brown sugar1 cup chopped nuts1/3 cup butter, melted2 tablespoons all-purpose flour4 teaspoons ground cinnamonBATTER:1/2 cup butter, softened1-1/2 cups sugar2 large eggs, room temperature3 cups all-purpose flour4 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt2 cups buttermilk1 cup raisins

Preparation

In a bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; set aside.

In another bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.

Combine the dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in raisins. Spread half of the batter into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Sprinkle with half of the crumb mixture. Carefully spread with remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.

Bake at 350° until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 35-40 minutes.
