Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup packed brown sugar1 large egg, room temperature1 tablespoon 2% milk2 teaspoons red food coloring1 teaspoon vanilla extract1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour1/3 cup baking cocoa1 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt3/4 cup white baking chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, milk, food coloring and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in baking chips.

Drop dough by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake until set, 6-8 minutes. Cool on pans 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
